Prima
Prima is the preamplifier for a Choral system that has more than a digital source. DAVE can drive an Étude on its own; Prima is what you add when there is a turntable, a tuner or a tape machine to bring in as well. Five inputs, four unbalanced and one balanced, with six independent gain adjustments so a quiet source and a loud one can sit at the same volume setting, and balanced circuitry the whole way through to a balanced output. The chassis is machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminium billet with a porthole in the top to see the board it protects. A high-frequency supply charges and discharges fast enough that nothing sags on a transient. Eight kilos of preamplifier, and it responds to the remote.
