You want Ultima, but in one box on one shelf, and your speakers are demanding without being monsters. Ultima 5 is where the range begins, and for most systems where it may end: three hundred watts per channel into 8 ohms, 500 into 4, from the error correction of the whole range. It descends from the SPM 1200 MK II, for many the Chord of its generation. Fairaudio wrote in 2025 that it “ranks among the most exciting audio components that have come into my listening room over the years” — and that's right: an attack arrives, the bass stays held. It is a power amplifier: you need a Pre 3, or a DAVE or Hugo TT 2 that controls the volume. Twenty-two kilos; everything above it is mono.
