Chord Electronics Ultima 3 Mono Power Amp amplifier

Your floorstanders each deserve their own amplifier, and you want the Ultima circuit in a full-size case without the mass of an Ultima 2. Ultima 3 is the monoblock that brought that circuit within reach; before it, it existed only in the amplifier at the top. Four hundred and eighty watts into 8 ohms, 1,000 into 4, with double terminals for bi-wiring, so a pair of them drives the bass and treble of your speaker separately. What you hear is what the whole range shares: grip, and an attack that arrives on time. Twenty-two kilos, so one person lifts it onto the rack. It's two of them, plus a preamplifier; above the stereo Ultima 5 because it is mono and stronger, below Ultima 2, which has half as much power again.
