Your Hugo TT 2 sits on the desk or the sideboard, and you want real speakers on it without a big amplifier in the room. TToby was drawn for that: same footprint, same brushed case, made to sit underneath and turn the TT 2's XLR output into 100 watts. Hi-Fi News called it “an exceptionally good power amplifier – it just happens to be small”, Hi-Fi World found it “enjoyable, revealing and gutsy”, and Hi-Fi Choice gave the pair five stars: “it sounds sublime teamed with the Hugo TT”. Four small fans in a sealed chamber carry the heat away; that is why the case is smooth. Joenit has it in silver. It started this shape; whoever wants the newer Ultima circuit under their TT 2 looks at the BerTTi next to it.

This is an exceptionally good power amplifier – it just happens to be small, which will no doubt expand the possibilities for its use beyond partnering its matching HugoTT DAC/headphone preamp.
