Chord Electronics Quartet DAC

31 July 2026 · New in the range The Quartet joins Chord's Choral range at Joenit

You have a DAVE and you thought that was where it ended. The Quartet is what Chord thought of next: not a new converter, but a box in front of your converter, rebuilding the waveform between the samples with a filter of four million taps — DAVE itself has 164,000. All that arithmetic buys one thing, and you hear it first on a drum kit or a guitar string: the attack of every note arrives at the moment it should, not a whisper before or after. There is an analogue input too: your turntable can go through the same mill. The power supply lives in its own case, on the mains but as quiet as a battery. Without a Chord converter behind it, it makes no sound, and it is two boxes on your rack.
