Chord Electronics Chord Prima DAC
Your Choral set plays digital perfectly from DAVE into Étude, and now a turntable arrives. Or a tuner, a tape deck — analogue, which doesn't fit into DAVE. That is what Prima is for: five sources on the same volume knob, and because every input has its own gain, the volume doesn't jump when you switch from the quiet source to the loud one. Set once, then forgotten. Its power supply charges and discharges fast enough that a sudden drum roll sags nowhere, and it is balanced from input to output, so the silence of DAVE stays silent along the way. Milled from a single block of aluminium, with a porthole onto the board. If you listen only to digital, you don't need it: DAVE does that alone. And a turntable still asks for a phono stage in front, a Huei for instance.
