BerTTi
BerTTi is the cheapest way into Ultima amplifier technology, and it was designed to sit under a Hugo TT 2 and finish the system. Fully balanced, 55 watts into 8 ohms, with the same dual-feed-forward error correction as the full-size Ultima amplifiers: it measures the signal and corrects it before the output stage rather than afterwards, which is what keeps a small amplifier composed when the music gets difficult. Two modified power supplies feed it, with an extra rail dedicated to the front end so the custom MOSFETs are never short of voltage. Balanced and unbalanced inputs, gold-plated speaker terminals. Three and three-quarter kilos in the same 23.5-centimetre footprint as the TT range. The Speaker Shack made it Product of the Year in 2024.
